Default Gearbox swap question

Will a sti 5/6 gearbox and rear diff be a direct swap into a bug wrx?

Need matching gearbox and rear diff with same ratios, 6 speed clutch, flywheel, starter motor, gear linkage and I think you may need prop shaft and driveshafts.

Someone maybe can confirm but you may be able to use original clutch, flywheel and starter, but obviously not as good as 6 speed unit.

STi 5/6 cars run a 4.44 rear diff ratio (as opposed to 3.54 for WRX new-age)

as long as you have the matched rear diff also then it will all mate fine
