bearing in mind this is now under 3 weeks away, are any more details going to be made available...?

The JapBash website looks as if it hasn't been touched since before the 2008 one, apart from the basic splash ad that's been whored out over all the car forums already.

We currently have approx 120 cars confirmed

We are hoping to go to the site this week to make a few final plans, club allocation, trade areas, camping facilities etc.

Once we have these points sorted we will update this thread and given time the jap bash web site will also be updated.

There is still loads of organization going on behind the scenes.

Watch this space

I will be bringing posters and flyers for Japbash to the meeting on Saturday.

Please come and grab some from me. I'll park the beemer well away from the real cars so as not to lower the tone!

A few of us from Kent will be going, will probably meet at the Wharf pub just the other side of the Dartford tunnel, nothing has been confirmed yet but keep a eye on this thread for more details http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?show ... 3006&st=40

No problem guys.
We have a team of around 9 to help arrange parking etc.
Just let one of us know that you need to be able to get out and we will get you in a suitable position.

Looks like I might be in the "Non Jap" section.

The car might just be finished on the 4th, but it looks increasingly like the mapping won't be done

I just want someone to do the Ekutech map really.

Thanks for the offer Chris, but I would rather wait and get it done properly than just take from Vince only to find a problem. I really would prefer to get it mapped down there and drive away with a safe map and all in good nick.

Oh well, such is life I suppose.

At least I can get the M3's wheels refurbed

So, what time are the gates opening for cars going on the stands...? I seem to remember 11:30 being mentioned, or can we turn up earlier to get a headstart on putting up tentage before the bevvies start a-flowing...?

Hi Rich

We are getting the club stands and traders in at 11.00. As I think 11.30 may be a bit tight to get 130+ cars in and parked with what ever they might want to set up.

I think the plan is to set up tents from about 5.00pm, and then get on the sauce. Although, if you wanted to set up camp earlier then that won't be a problem.

Gates open at 12.00

Lee, we are meeting at 10.45 am at PP and leaving at 11.15am going via Haywards Heath to pick up people there. Give me time to get the photos done.

I have been told today that I will be able to bring (limp actually) the scoob to Japbash.

My only problem now is, it will probably be rot! Picking it up Friday at "some point" hopefully and then if time and light allows, a ****ing good wash and buff up!

For everyone who is camping, Justine in the Cafe at Bentley has said she will stay open late if we want her to. So as we can get some grub before settling down to some serious drinking.

She did say she would stay open until 8.30pm, but I have said I wouldn't want to put her out that much.

I need to let her know what time to stay open until, when I see her on Saturday. I thought about 6.30 should be late enough.

Let me know your thoughts please.

what times is the bbq running? in the afternoon or evening? or until its run out of sausages?

A quick update!

Jap Performance Parts won't be coming now. After the break in they had recently, they are up to their eyes in it.

I have spent the afternoon trying to find a replacement and I think I have come up trumps.

Nissan of Tunbridge Wells are going to bring a couple of cars over, namely their demo cars of the GTR and the new 370Z.

Not a bad bit of late wheeling and dealing

Cool excellent plan. Thought 11:30 was cutting it a bit fine !!

Are we not allowed on the sauce before 5 then...?

What time's the BBQ...? Cost...?

Is the plan still to offer a cooked brekkie....?

What time do we get booted out in the morning...?

Good questions.

You can get on the sauce when ever you like
BBQ is now going to be a burger vans, as the numbers are getting too large for a BBQ, So you will have choice of hot dogs , burgers etc - Unsure of prices. sorry
Cooked breakfasts are confirmed for approx 35 people - Time 09.30am
There is another event on the Sunbdeay, however as the camping feild is seperate and has a seperate exit we can leave pretty much when we are ready after breakfast.

Hope this lot helps.
