They normally use the same scale for both and the curves cross at 5250rpm. So that would also explain why the curves do not cross until approx 6000rpm. Last edited by Scott.T; 10-12-2009 at 10:06 PM. |

Worzel: yes mate 20% Meths.
V Power was around the 500 mark so the Meths produced better figures than we thought it would. The 850 injectors were pushed to 112% maxing out at 561.9. 1000cc injectors or an 8 injector setup opposed to the current 4 would have pushed it to 600 Bhp. They were great figures remembering that I only opted for the HG/RCM GT30 / 37 Turbo. There is still a shed load of power left if I want it but to be honest 560 is pretty quick in a P1. Works out at 435.6 Bhp per ton / 450.3 Bhp at the wheels Last edited by Skullfudge; 11-12-2009 at 11:16 AM. |

Wow really good figures. Your engine has alot more to give looking at the build. Your turbo must be just about max'd on a gt30 gt35 for more. Not that you need it must be so quick on the road, well done mate.

Mr X:
That has been my main aim from the start, to keep it as much of a P1 as we could. RCM done a great job fitting the intercooler as it is a huge lump. Much modification behind the splitter to fit the APS 725R IC (725 meaning will max out at 725Bhp). That is also why I put the black mesh on, to try and hide the IC ![]() |

Your right Nige. We know the engine could have much more if required. Options are:- GT35, GT40, GT42 or GT45 turbo's. + 1000cc injectors Bio-fuel (will need 1000cc injectors or an 8 injector set up) NOS at 25,50,75 or 100 shot. (100 shot gives the Stopper an additional 190Bhp!) NOS will cause the only weak spot, being the h/gaskets. The way around it will be to have a Gas O Ring system whereby the engine will be h/gasketless. (same as F1). A sequential box will be needed with anymore power. You will live on the gears with big power plus ya brain wont know what month your in ![]() |

nice!
what does a HG/RCM GT30 / 37 Turbo translate to.. ie. what exhaust housing? Straight GT30R wont physcially flow enough air to do that power so must be hybrid with larger exhaust wheel? Simon |

Hybrid Garrett RCM (fiddle?) 37/37 with Ex Housing @ 0.82. Sorry
Dave Rowe said they were very good results for a 30. The 850's were showing 112% at 561.9 so 1000's we feel would have developed more power. |

assuming the fuelling wasn't a stopping point on the power then 1000cc injectors will give you a bit of safety margin (head room) but no more power. If however Dave would have run more boost etc then yes 1000cc would give more power.

ok cheers for that Simon. Not sure what boost levels can be achieved by the current set up but a larger turbo 35 / 40 I guess would take it up over 600 |

Toyo proxes are like having glass tyres in the wet though. I gave it a bootfull in 3rd/4th/5th and spun the wheels in all of them ![]() Mate, with your kind of power, I would be **** scared of going out in anything but perfect conditions, either that or driving like miss daisy. ![]() |

Although the graph shows 561.9 Worzel the Bhp was reduced when Dave R mapped it for the road after the dyno runs. We did get a reading of 563.7 from one run but they did not print that one out for some reason?. It's still a bit mad though. Running at 550 Bhp now. |
