Default Ferry Booking for the Ring 2010

Hi everyone.

Thanks to Nige (Cheers Mate ) , we have got a code to get a cracking price for the ferry if you book it now.

Remember, this is a Bank Holiday Weekend in Britain, so the ferries will be very busy, don't leave it too long or you may not get on the same boat as the rest of us!

We are sailing with Norfolk Line from Dover to Dunkirk, departing Dover on May 28th @ 8.00am and returning from Dunkirk on May 31st @ 8.01pm.

www.norfolkline.co.uk

When booking the ferry, use the offer code EBF (in upper case / capitals).

DON'T forget to put the times in, it saves you the embarrassing phone call to get it changed

Again, yet another list. Can you add your names to the list as and when you have booked your ferry.

Can I check that's the 20:01 return Dunkirk to Dover? I'm only booking one way as have to get the tunnel over.

If anybodyelse can't get the day off on the Friday I'm planning to get the 19:20 Tunnel (£53) which should mean I can get to Nurburg by 130am German time.

URGENT UPDATE!

Nige has just tried booking his ticket on the ferry and they have had a block booking for it. They wouldn't give hime the best deal on that ferry because of this.

Instead, he is going to have to go for an earlier ferry (6.00am) to get the best price.

I would hurry people, it's going to get booked up very quickly

Norfolk line are really easy to be honest.

If you called them as Nige says, it won't be a problem at all.

For the guys that went last year Ray {Evo} & his son Neil are booking the same date's. For anyone that wants to Neil knows the ring like the back of his hand. He has done in exces of 200+ laps and took me around in 8m30sec on a busy day. So you can ask him for tips.

Claire and I are thinking of getting the ferry out the weekend before and making a little holiday of it driving round France/Germany to see some places. Will meet up with you guys at the hotel on the Friday afternoon/evening.

Just waiting to make sure she can get the week off work first.

To be honest, the scoob needs gearbox, front brakes, mapping etc
I took it last year and it was fantastic but its getting too old now, it will be used for all our summer meets.
The M3 will be awsome to take, so sorry guys its coming to the ring,oh and it will be delimitted by then

If it's anything like the M3 I have been attacking 'The Ring' with on Forza 3, it will be a hoot.
Although I would turn the traction control 'ON'....... it's great 'OFF' for Drifting on the game, but then the game don't cost anything when you hit the barrier

Should we be looking at renaming the club SEC - as in South East Cars?

Shame to hear the Scoobs still not sorted, mine is starting to concern me now the way bits are failing!

Mate, there were shed loads of Mini's last year. And there was also a VW Transporter Minibus.

The VW Minibus was Porsche engined though and had a string of very expensive cars trailing in it's wake. It was one of the funniest sites I saw all weekend, the guy was driving it with his window down and one arm resting on the door, with Porsches, M3's, Scoobies and all sorts struggling to keep up. ****ing priceless

Just need to confirm a few prices n get time off work but the wifes said she fancies a break to see the german countryside, im sure they have fur trees round the ring ?
Looked into ferries and still room on the 08:00 and 20:01 return for £53 which isnt bad.
So just need to clear work and its off to the autobahns we go!

also is there a link someone can put up for regualtions on the ring etc?

Out of interest are the peeps booked on the 06.00 going to wait for the 08.00 peeps.?

I am sure it will be more fun going together, especially when you look at the list of vehicles on the 8.00 ferry.

I visualize staying with him all the way to the last bend & then passing him. Thats only if I'm anywere near him. Ray & Niel no nothing about my build, so it would be a good surprise for Ray as he misses his old Evo.

The only way I'd beat him across the line, is to lay in wait at the last bend and go hell for leather the second he comes into view. Even then, it would be touch & go
