Default RAF Marham

A mate of mine in his 5 series at RAF Marham
It was only £70 for the day,the straight is 1&1/4 miles long.
He said it was heavy on tyres and he killed 3 sets of his slicks in a day.

Looks like a laugh and a bit diferent.

The old 5 series he is following is sorted M i belive

Done that event twice, and absolute hoot of a day. The sqauddies really put on a good effort and well organised day. Its a great circuit with a very long stretch where you can top out the car if you like, and lots of twisties as well with huge run offs so the worst you can do it put a cone through your grille.

Anything goes on the track from Old Carltons, to Nobles, to F40. Would always go again, but my contact has stopped doing this even now.

That's where I was this March for the MLR 30 - 130.
3 cars lost there entire rear wing, A Skyline lost it's front bumper, 2 rear windows were sucked out, a rear fibre glass door was ripped off & I nearly lost my bonnet scoop at just under 180 mph. The left corner of my b/scoop was at least 100mm higher than the bonnet! & flapping like Stiggies ex Mrs, other than that is was a great day.

Agree that the RAF put on a great day for everyone.

Nige: I will be taking my camcorder for some onboard clips.
Can film some of the guys too.

I've done the North Weald before too & really enjoyed the whole day. For those of you that have not been before you will LOVE it !!

And it wasn't me behind the wheel when we had the spin I thought I was pushing on hard until you decided to take it to the next level and off it.

I had forgot all about this event else I would have tried to have taken the scoob to it. One to try and sort of next May me feels.

With regards to tyres I was lucky those Avon tyres were amazingly hard compound and took some serious abuse. There was a NOVA on the day that stripped 2 sets of new tyres and had to drive home on the webbing.!

Only thing to bare in mind at this event is its courtesy to let the squaddies have a passenger ride if they tap on your window if no one is in the passenger seat. And be wary of the likes of the Carlton club if they go. They go with the sole intenrion of going sideways and drifting, so need to steer well clear of them, but everyone is sensible and mindful of each other.

Burger VAN and refreshments supplied all day as well which can't be bad.

Was an amusing day with bits flying off the cars. Would love to go back on a track event.

RAF guys were great.

Is there anywhere in the UK where you can truly Vmax a car?
