What times and routes are going to be taken?
I'll be meeting you up there as the in-laws live 500m away from Prodrive

Difficult to say at the moment, other than it will be sometime between 9 and 10!

Hopefully we'll know more on the times once we've sorted meeting times for the convoy.

Oh, and welcome to SES

Guys,

What the meeting plans etc?

I started asking people on SN if they wish to meet if they are taking M25 to the M40 route.

I understand some of you have longer travel ahead but was thinking of meeting at the same location some of you SES/Sussex guys did for the McRae Gathering.

How many souls from here and Surrey have we got?

Is 7:15 the time the convoy will leave Pease Pottage?

I assume you will be taking the M25 - M40 route to Prodrive?

Hi Steve,

We were waiting for final confirmation of when a Surrey meetup might be so we can join in on route as well - have Surrey confirmed anything yet?

I think they are waiting for SES to confirm!

Well it seems as though the Surrey meet will be taking place at the Staines Halfords, which is just off Junction 13 of the M25.

If the SES convoy leaves Pease Pottage at 7:15 - and assuming that there is no traffic and/or the lead car doesn't go flying off at 100 mph - that means you should pass Junction 13 at approximately 7:55.

I don't know if the SES convoy would want to pull off to meet with other cars, or if you'd rather keep going and have the other cars join you on the motorway?

Excellent

OK, SES will meet at 7:15am at Pease Pottage services, to leave by 7:30am.

That means we'll pass J13 M25 about 8:15am, then onto Banbury for about 9:30am (it doesn't start until 10am but hey ) Doesn't seem worth us coming off the M25 only to meet you guys then join straight back on!

Steve - if you're meeting the Surrey lot at Staines can you pm me your mobile number - could give you a bell as we pass J12 and then we should end up pretty close to each other once you've joined the M25?

If it all goes wrong then we'll see you all at Prodrive

edit/ just to say i've posted these times up on SurreyScoobies as well now, so they know what we're up to

Sounds like a plan!

I was actually planning to join the SES convoy, so I could phone ahead to let the Surrey mob know when we were close!

If you are happy to give me a bell though, that would be great, as PP is a bit out of my way!

Hey guys,

I think it is all sorted now?

I have added so info on the SN thread btw. If you want my number please let me know so I can PM you my details.

I'm not finishing work that morning at 07:00am!! Not happy but got something to complete so I will be a little jaded.

We need a complete car/head count so we at the Surrey meeting point are not waiting etc. I have sent a PM to those members on SN who are not members on surrey so hope they reply to me otherwise we will leave without them.

I think personally if we try to keep the speed limit somewhere in the 60-70mph (Lights on or not?) that should be dandy.

I may have my little mate/ 3 year old lad with me so will be driving as gay as I can get anyway.lol

Steve

Hi mate,

Yep, think we're sorted now. I'll make sure that all of the SES lot are together and if anyone is running late they should be able to catch us up somewhere if we stick to 70mph.

Could run with lights on in the convoy, as we did for the McRae Gathering.

I've got Steve's (tbtstt) mobile number and i've said i'll bell him as we go past J11 so that give you guys from Surrey enough time to head onto the M25 as well.

And we should be meeting up with Matt23 from Surrey in another RB320 as well - so three of them in our convoy

I expect you'll get to park in a special area right in front of the Prodrive workshops too

Also by luck Wednesday morning coming home from work I came across a RB320 infront of me.

I got next to them at the lights and the women driving said it was her husbands car. Told her the details and gave my number to pass to her husband as she said he'd love to come.

So............we may have a fourth RB320 in convoy. Will know by Friday evening as I asked her to get him to let me know by then.

Cool.

Steve

Just in case anyone doesn't know where it is, the postcode for Prodrive is OX16 3ER (J11 of M40)

are you meeting us at PP? or going round to Staines to meet the surrey bunch? i know meeting at PP would mean a 15 min drive south, just to go back north - but wouldn't want to leave if you were running late

Otherwise, its just the following at PP i think:

1. Steve_PPP
2. 666Subaru
3. The Fly
4. Lucky
5. scixer6r

I managed to get mine washed this evening. God knows how and why I was doing it? was bloody cold, getting dark (then fully dark by the time it came to drying) so expect one or two areas I have missed or water marks.

Managed to fix and fit my light as a temp fix for road use.I am sure the bugger will mist up again!!

Then, took the misses and kids for a meal then came into work where I am now.

Get the coffee's in folks later, I'm going to need it. lol

See you in a few hours guys.

Steve
