Default Which clutch?
OK I need a new clutch as the 6 speed goes in - eventually I will be around 450/450 with a MD321T or similar, I am looking at the Helix organic twin plate, Helix ceremetallic twin or the Exedy Twin plate. Anything else I should consider - preferably cheaper!

Im running an Exedy Organic on a smidge less than you and it's pretty capable.

I've gone for Ap but thats more expensive...other option would have been exeedy pink

Cannot rate Helix clutches enough.

I'm using a Single organic with Group N clamp and is really nice to use.

Think my problem is that I'm going for the 5speed clutch as I don't have a 6 speed flywheel or starter - My Exedy stage 1s have both lasted around 15K miles before starting to slip!

I was planning on going twin plate but will look into the AP.

Dont forget being 2.5 your going to have a lot more torque than these guys mate when mapped properly

If you find here ACT Xtreme Duty Performance Street Disc ACT SB4-XTSS,this clutch is rated to 566ft/lbs,from USA cost around $866

Hmmm, hadn't really budgeted for this much on a clutch, The exedy pink is only rated to 350 lb/ft and the AP's not much more!

Worzel what torque are you running and is yours a 5 or 6 speed clutch?

I'm thinking it may be cheaper to get a 6 speed fly clutch and starter if it means I can stick with single plate.

Have a 6 speed flywheel at home in the garage and the starter you have will fit
ACT single plate i had was good or the helix single organic

Balls - just seen this! I've got the flywheel with the box - turns out it is a 6 speed clutch anyway, I've just bought a starter for £40!
I'm planning to use the clutch that comes with the box for now as it turns out it's an API lightened flywheel and uprated clutch. If it turns out not to be man enough I'll just get the uprated Helix single plate I think as it seems that although the singles are not officially rated to 400+ Lb/ft most of you guys appear to be happy with them and I really don't have over a grand spare for a clutch!
