wheel welding/how safe
cracked one of my new wheels 2day guys hit a pot hole on our **** roads,which has put a 1.5" hair line crack in the wheel.
is it worth getting it welded or just bin it. lucky i 5 wheels really. |

someone can easily repair that happend to me a few months ago.... make sure you put a claim in mate

well guys i am going 2 put in a claim 4 my wheel,but been reading storys on the net and it sounds like they dont give a toss.trouble is they dont make superleggras anymore.its lucky i had a spare from the last set i brought.

Similar thing happened to the hubby and his was fixed with a weld as like you they didnt make his alloys anymore (ATP)

Its worth a trying to claim off the council mate but you need pics of the pothole, wheel, where it happend, estimates, recipt of work etc etc then it still takes a while to go through but the more you send the better chance of claiming youll have

cheers andy my mates going 2 weld it for me.had a hairline crack about 1.5" long.will keep as a spare as i dont fill safe driving with it even after its been welded
