Default Been offered a car, unsure how to value it!!

Hiya, ok so its an Evo

Basically I've been offered a 2004 Evo 8 the XT400 version (think 1 of 10 built)

I can't find any info on them anywhere to judge their value but the description I have of the work done is this:
The car has the Full XT400 Conversion Done By Extreme,2.3 STROKER KIT, Xtreme designed Oliver I beam con rods, forged pistons (Ross or JE),2.3 litre long stroke crank, ARP competition head stud kit, Full engine gasket set including competition head gasket, Main, big end and thrust bearing kit, Helix Organic single plate clutch (35% uprated), Motec M800 pro Ecu with Xtreme custom map, High flow fuel pump, Induction Kit, Stainless Steel Exhaust

Its on about 25k 1 previous owner (quite cool as he is a stuntman and he's the guy who did the fight scenes in star wars with light sabres and tons of other stuff to!) and fsh

Anyone know about this version and have a rough idea of their value?

Assuming its what is sais it is, that's a fairly serious spec. The ECU is best part of £3000 alone. There was a time when something like that would be worth 23K+, but IMO in the current market to actually sell circa 15K.

If you send me more pics i would get a better idea. From what i can see so far it's not built on spec with an MR or GT. So body will be heavy'r & unless changed the interior will be basic. Engine is worth a bit though. To give you an idea on the price of that ecu ive just sold my Motec M800 with antilag & launch + daterlogging for £1100. They are as Rob said £3k ish inc mapping. Single plate clutch also sugests its not running big power or huge amounts of boost std intercooler.

It's running 370bhp.... Not worth 15k as its a base model and not a MR/GT

Its looks like a basic Evo8 from those pics, and as above needs to be finished off both cosmetcially and mechanically.

A tidy/straight basic Evo8 260 gsr on an 04 plate is worth about 7K at the moment, say another 3k for the stroker and ECU so yep would agree I'd now only be looking to spend 10K max, then budget another 3K on new turbo, injectors, intercooler, remap. And another 2K on some cosmetic tweaks.

The car is in limbo land, so has a limited market.

I recently witnessed a very, very tidy Evo8 FQ300 in black with 55K, sell for 6.7K in a garage behind me.

Looks like it was a conversion Xtreme were offering, whether they did 10 cars or limited it to 10 conversions I don't know!?

They have an evo x for sale on their site that looks like its had the same conversion so they may still offer it to people?

Has the seller offered you a price for it yet? Having had a look around you can get a lot of Evo for 15k

If your looking to get an Evo and have 10k to play with then that will still buy you a lot of car!

I hadn't really considered Evo's until this came up really, figured if it was a good price for it leaving some room for some more power then maybe go for it but I haven't "fallen" for the car yet!

I saw that one but its not the same one, this ones not advertised anywhere at the moment I don't think.

From the info I have its running 430 lbs of torque, just trying to see what turbo it has aswell am waiting on a reply from the guys who did the conversion.

The base model was the GSR which I think is the standard type?

I want one, and i haven't even seen Anger's yet

Was looking at the For Sale section on MLR during my lunch break, did spot that one too. Just can't justify spending so much more cash at the moment, and 12k buys a lot of scoob!
