wrx limits??

im looking to upgrade my blob wrx in the future, its currently running at 288bhp with:
sti tmic
k&n induction kit
decat down pipe
afterburner exhaust
walbro fuel pump
remap
sti brembos all round

i want to upgrade the turbo n injectors and wanted to know wat bhp limit i can go to?? before i start causing problems for the clutch, gearbox and engine components.

i was told when i brought the car that the clutch is an exedy stage 1 but have no paperwork for this, so may not be.

Ran 400bhp for 2 yrs and all was fine , engine still going strong in mr chips motor.
Would say go for 380 and leave it at that

Mine was fine at 370 but went pop in Germany when running 380. Anything over 350 is a bit of a lottery in my opinion.

I am running 350 on my WRX engine but not planning to push it must more in standard spec as I think that is a realistic limit but it's how your luck goes or how hard you drive it.

I assume these limits also apply to the bugeye wrx too?

Yes, no real difference between bug and blob wrx engines.

Its one of those things that theres no exact answer for, all depends on how you drive and how long you want it to last. Its logical that the less you push the bhp numbers, the less the engine is stressed.

Personally, i wouldn't go much over 330bhp on a standard wrx, but thats just me. People in this thread have had plenty more, but reliability is an important thing in my opinion

Well that's the thing I use my car daily so need it to be fairly reliable I will most like just take it to 330bhp to be safe then? Thanks for the advice!!

If you want safe 350, if you want safish 380 if you want should be ok 400 . Over that take every gear change as if it was your last .
Plus half the poeple above don't have a clue of what the engines are capable of.

lol, probably true CJ.

330 is just one of those fairly well proven numbers as its most easily attainable on a newage wrx, just with a decat/vf35/pinks etc.
