good news and bad news!!

Good news

went to scoobyworld this week n treated my wrx to vf34 turbo, pink injectors, uprated fuel pump, cold feed induction kit, afterburner raptor exhaust, braided brake lines, prosport gauges and a full service.

the cars running at 1.4 boost now so hoping for around 320 - 330 when i go on a rolling road in a couple of weeks. do you guys think i should get around that figure??

Bad news

while they was checking everything around the car they noticed one of the near side back lateral links on the hub was bent and possibly the hub too. i couldnt believe it!! the car felt so balanced and never pulled.

so i think a breakers yard is in the line to get a new hub and lateral arms lol

I would have thought you'd get those kind of figures on the rollers fairly happily - assuming the cars running a full decat?

If you're hunting for a hub down the breakers, try and make sure its not one with a duff bearing. Had to replace a wheel bearing on my scoob a couple of years ago and i think the part cost from Subaru was about £130 alone.

Blimey, done a good job on that. The way thats bent looks like a side on thump with the kerb, maybe its slid into the pavement in the snow during recent winters?

Should be reasonably straightforward to sort though, but definately recommend a proper geo setup afterwards

im a bit embarrassed i never noticed it before in the three months ive owned her and glad ive not been on a track yet!! could be nasty lol

Can see you've still got the standard ARB/droplinks - if you're taking it apart and feeling like splashing a few more £££, a set of solid whiteline rear droplinks and a whiteline rear ARB will make a big difference to the handling

Makes the turn-in of the car a lot more positive, definately helps get rid of the understeer that they have as standard.

This doesn't looking good with the rear lateral link/arm,but is easy to sort,I'm sure breakers have these for sale,just try have look on SN and ask them or try post here in Wanted thread

As Steve recommend rear ARB with solid droplinks,would go with WhiteLine which are expensive but worth the money

But you can go route as we are went with adjustable lateral links/arms from Hardrace,which have included adjustable rear droplinks,this kit cost around £249 from Apex Performance


About the power,I would say around 330bhp should be possible,but usually VF34 making around 340-350bhp with right mods

Hub should be OK,but if you will take out the arms,you can check if ist OK or not,but they're cost around £50-£100 as most

I have suspension arm you can have if you would like even if it's just to test the rest out, I changed all mine with the diff and put on STi hubs etc and got three more arms with the hubs because they were hard to take off . The Hard race arm set are quite nice too.

thanks for the offer kartingsteve but ive got an arm from breakers, just waiting for it to be delivered. I may be interested in ur old hubs tho, if mine is bent, if ur willing to sell them that is??

There are only wrx ones.
