Googled it mate and can't see any negative reviews about it. 5 stars from nearly 10.5k people. Have you got the bluetooth bit that plugs into your odb2?

I've used Torque Pro on Renault Megane and worked well, just OBD->Bluetooth is not fastest, would have look on the Wifi version, which is expensive, but you will be not limited
Second bit is there is for Torque pro too Knock Detector https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...kills.kd&hl=en Will try tomorrow or sometimes this week too on the Ford Mondeo ST TDCi Jura

Works perfectly on my hawk - just used a cheap bluetooth adapter from flea bay, same as SilverSurfers...
It's a good app and the developer does a lot of updating. No Subaru Select codes for logging though, so logging is limited to just what you get via the OBDII port. J.

I cannot get the Bluetooth obd11 adapter to work on my jdm bugeye? I think the ecu is different from the UK ones. Scoobystue suggested it may work if I had the car mapped, any ideas from anyone else.

With the OBD plugged in and the ignition turned on has your phone synced with the adaptor in your phone's bluetooth connections? Check this prior to launching the torque pro app. My prior phone had issues establishing a blue tooth link with obd adapter.

i can't imagine mapping would make any difference to the obd protocol. i doubt non jdm had different obd. and i wouldn't suggest flashing a edm map onto a jdm ecu incase you brick it.

I should have tried my obd scanner having thought about it, see if that spoke to it then. It all syncs up fine but its just not sending any data out at all? Could his port be broken?

If you have spare laptop which have Bluetooth you can try those SW
All them will work on Subaru and their SSM http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdfc...ce=recommended http://sourceforge.net/projects/sele...ce=recommended http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/...r-ecm-tcu.html Jura

Think that's your device that's at fault there mate. Some Bluetooth on phones simply won't/don't work for some reason. Had a few where the Bluetooth was completely useless, wouldn't connect to anything. 99.9% sure had I used my device with either adaptor on the Corsa, it would have worked. What we need to work out is why your Scoobs odb port doesn't want to talk!

Just had a thought - In Torque setting there is a setting Faster Communication and also Disable ELM327 auto timing. Try turning OFF the Faster Communication and maybe Disable Auto Timming turned ON.
I had to do that to get my adapter to talk to the car. Might just help... J.

Just used this on the Audi and it worked which was a surprise due to them using VAGCOM. Manages to log all the usual parameters rpm, spped, MAF, boost, fuel pressure, ignition adv etc..etc....
Also just used it on Nige's 2008 Hatch which uses OBD 'Can Bus'. Managed to read and clear missfire No.2 error code. It previously worked on my Hawk Sti too although using an HTC phone at the time (currently on a Samsung). I will try on the Classic Scoob, but it may not work as year 2000 was on the verge on ODB introduction. Well worth the cost of the OBD Dongle and £2.99 for the App. |

Mine works fine as well on my car. It connects to the adaptor on Midlifes JDM but the car won't/can't/isn't sending any information at all. As you say though for the money they're a superb bit of kit.

Latest attempt.... after a lot of chopping and changing in the settings I managed to get, bluetooth enabled "green tick". connected to adapter "green tick".connected to ecu "green tick". adaptor error count "green tick" but sadly no data is being shown
