The 22b there is one of three prototypes eh, wonder who has the other 2?? and how much they would cost on the market, a 22b is costly enough as it is! Is a shame, bloody nice bloke.

Nicky Grist got one and I think Dave Richards or Dave Lapworth got the third one? I believe all three were numbered #000, I'm sure I recall seeing Nicky Grist's 22B being up for sale a while ago.

That video is the tip of the iceberg with regards to McRae's collection of wheels. There was a sample of McRae's garage at the Goodwood: FOS the year after he passed away, the man had some top toys. All carbon fibre GSX-R 1000...

...twin engined kart...

...Metro 6R4 (I believe this has been sold on by the McRae now, not 100% sure on that though)...

...Millington powered Mk.II Escort...

...and the R4 (which sadly never saw production):

I'd love a nice mk11 escort , rather expensive now though. Remember seeing loads them in the 80s

The Duke "Colin McRae Story" DVD features an extended section on that Escort. Its a bloody brilliant DVD.

There were standalone DVD's of footage of his Mk.II Escort and Metro 6R4, I think I have a copy of the Escort one at home somewhere: will have to look later!
