Default forester box in an impreza

will a forester box fit straight in to an impreza?
namely a TY755VN1AA fitting in my GF8 which currently has a TY754 box?

also, I cant find a gearbox chart for foresters on the net like you can for impreza's so does anyone know what ratio rear diff I would need ?

If you don't get any luck here, someone in the European section on subaruforester.org is likely to know... most probably Don!

thanks, have posted a question there. I have managed to work some of it out though.

The shell is the same so will physically fit. I need a 4.111 R160 rear diff to go with it.
I'm not sure if the front driveshaft output has splines or socket, in which case I need forester front driveshafts, and I don't know if the gearbox oil cooler pipes can be looped out or if I need to get an oil cooler too.

It's often a bit slow on there at the weekend, but there are some knowledgeable contributors, so hopefully they'll pop up to help.
