Default The new Skyline GTR's ??

As I have mentioned in Prodrive Tony's Brands thread the new GTR's are good, or are they?

Regarding engineering they are, but Jeez it can be grief owning one.
As mentioned, I have a good mate who had his delivered several weeks ago.

His friend done a track day in a new GTR and although I mentioned that Nissan in Japan will know instantly when you car is on a drag strip or track anywhere in Europe by the global positioning tech and all warranties become void, there is a way around it.

Nissan offer a "Post Track Inspection". You basically phone them up to advise them of a proposed track day. They come out, check suspension, tyres and max speeds, throttle use etc through there laptop. That costs £ 1000.
In addition to that he used 4.5 tanks of fuel and wrote off a set of tyres.
The track day cost him over £ 3000:00.
You have two tyre choices, either Dunlop or Bridgestone. Both manufactured specifically for the new GTR and cost £ 650.00 each.

This is the good bit. If you have a faulty tyre you MUST buy 4 new ones otherwise the warranty of the suspension becomes void !.

He can't see any of the four corners of the car, so therefore never parks in multi storey car parks.

You must use the gearbox & engine oils specified. £ 60.00 per Ltr works out at £ 1000.00

The list goes on & on.

My friend took me for a blast in his yesterday.

Pulled really well and felt very stable. 3 setting of suspension all being quite tight.

One cool feature (among others) is that you can make your own dash display by displaying what you want.
As you adjust the steering column up & down, forward & back the complete dash moves with it.
