Default Private plates

One of my bikes has a reg plate that is Wes as the letters i was lucky to find this on the bike when i brought it.The wife has found one that is V555 WES for the scoob but i am not sure of driving around with my name on the car bit different with the bike as it is not used alot and when it is it does not normally go out of sight but with the car it gets used all the time and parked all over the place.Bit worried that some jealous type could spot the plate and damage it after what happened to my Capri at the moment when it's parked up it is just another scoob.Wondered what you guys think of this type of plate.

I like them personally.

Go for it, if it makes you happy.

**** the nob ends out there. The sort of people you are talking about will do it to the car, not the plate.

Go for it mate....i got a private scoobie plate and love it.
If you think along the lines of anything nice done to a car will result it being picked on,we would all have nothing nice in our cars/lives.
You pay your money, you take your chance.....

Go for it fella, if someone's gonna damage the car, it's gonna be done whether or not the plates on there. Fact of life that there are complete Assholes out there amongst us

I was originally gonna get an Audi A8, before I got the Legacy and had lined up the plate AU51 ART (AUDI ART) which I thought was a fantastic plate and was only up for £250, I was surprised some other Audi owner hadn't snapped it up already

Still, I've now tried all manner of plates for the Leggy but can't find anything good enough to justify spending the money, either that or all the decent one's have been taken I thought about either my name or initials but when you've got the name Dan and the first two initials are DJ you'll find that the prices for those plates are astronomical

Thumbs up

Wes... as above do it.

I had J8YWS on my old Wagon (First name Jason surname starting with a W). Plate was supposed to read as JAYW’S.

Hardly anyone could work it out, but once a total stranger said hello Jay to me a in car park, and he turned out to be Subaru owner anyway.

I'll get another plate one day... maybe next year for my MY00 Wagon... *555 WGN …Sweet.

At the end of the day, it's up to you.

I would say go for it, WES isn't necessarily going to mean a lot to most people anyway and the 555 will be lost on a fair few too.

Personally think thats a good plate for you

LOL... off to find a more suitable plate for Wez. The one that comes to mind was on Steve Parish's Merc a few years back....

Bit pricey though ....http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/pr/gnpfs/PEN15.asp?sr=1
