Default Done me headers - Didn't go so well :(

Well decided to go for it, and whilst I was at it, change my HKS exhaust for the revolution exhaust. Dropping the exhaust including the dowinpipe was all fairly straightforward and painless.

Having taking off the downpipe I notice it had a hairline crack around the weld. So took it to a mate who promply tiged it and now all sorted. Getting the uppipe off was a bit of a biatch though, But plus side is the turbo didn't need to come off, as my upipe is a 3 bolt arrangement and can get to all the bolt and nuts without taking turbo off.

Once all the bolts were undone I thought happy days here we go. But couldnt drop the headers as the chassis was in the way. So thought Mmm. Now what.!!

Undone the engine mounts and jacked up the engine by and inch or 2 and heypresto.! New one in reversed the job and start it up.

Can hear the exhaust leaking at the joint to the downpipe and worse still leaking somewhere around the headers. But fiddled around and finally got it all to seal.

My problem now is I notice I have a fairly bad oil leak from passenger side rocker cover seal. So looks like tomorrow will now be trying to change the rocker cover seal now.

Any tips or advice other that what I have already read ?. Silly question but do I need to drain the oil ?. Or will the oil drop back into the sump sufficiently not to worry about draining oil.

Looks like the water bottle and battery has to come out to make room to get to the bolts. And from what I can gather I need to be looking for 8 bolts. And should I use gasket sealant ?

I'm not a great fan of sealant as I tend to think thats what the gasket is for !, but if I should use sealant what sort that I can buy tomorrow morning ?.

Started at 9am and finished 6pm..... So not a quick job.!
