Default rod knocking

As some you are aware i have a rod knocking,
Ive heard rumors that the bearings can be replaced fron underneath without splitting the block? is this true and viable as mine seems to be in the early stages. Or am i just dreaming of a quick fix/change bearings n everything will be ok?

Been searching high and low but no donors as of yet

on most cars yeah you can by removeing the sump but that little trick doesnt work on a boxer as you dont have the room to get any tools on the top rod bolt so even if you did manage to get it out you wouldnt ba able to torq it up an if you have a rod knocking you will prob find the crank needs either replaceing or regrind/polish.
