Cool Nurburgring 2011

Right then folks, there is no time like the present to get this started. So if you fancy going down to the Ring next year, please add your names to the list below.

The dates we are already booked in with Jacquelline are Friday 27th May 2011 - Monday 30th May 2011 (Bank Holiday Monday)

In the first instance, we will get this list up and running, then we will revisit the list and start to get ferries organised somewhere around Christmas.

I know this may seem early, but it is just 7 months away now and it's better to get time booked well in advance.

Roll on May 2011 A couple of pics to remind you all who went last year and to tempt those who didn't...

Lucky i was having a look & then got caught up in it all again. I read every post from the 2009 trip to the 2010 trip bloody fantastic come on May. Would like to know peoples plans for the 2011 trip ie what mods & so on? So i will start, trying out some new tyres Kumo V70's & a cage in the back. Try making the car a little lighter other than that the car will be the same as last time.

Hey Nige, Joking aside sorry we couldnt meet up on Tuesday, would have been good to catch up.
Spent two or three hours down in Rye, good to see Jimmy & Danny again.
Pretty impressive facility down there.
Finally got the gearbox after 16 months of waiting, also impressive.
Might be a chance the cossy will make the ring trip after all.

I either leave it as it is with the new bits added or go for it with the 2.1 next year....depends on funds.

Hmm changes for next year, well I plan to have the 6speed fitted by then so should be remapped again to I guess iro 420bhp on the current turbo. If there's any about 2nd hand I may end up with an MD on there as well.

Bloody hell that is quick. James the guy who owns Jrm took me out in his fast Datsun. I was absolutely gob smacked at how quick that thing is. So when the fast Datsun & lawmower turn up i dont think i will bother trying to pass them.

Good news Paul with the Evo will be coming next year after his engine build. Should be quick with a 2.2litre in there. Really looking forward to this now. His engine is being built by Jimmy {same guy who built mine} who is not at Jrm anymore. Good luck with your new business Jimmy.

I had a long chat with Jimmy about his new venture. I think he's onto a winner and wish him all the luck with it.

Cool

Looks like a couple of vehicles have gone out on circuit, guessing maintenance/staff. Would be good fun to have a play on it with some old £100 banger and a set of winter tyres, sliding everywhere!

Nice one Jimmy, i think we've got the hotel booked for last weekend in May again? (bank holiday) so all should be good there. You planning on using the Alfa again or got something else?

Worzel - how many rooms has the place got? We'll need to keep an eye on numbers to make sure everyone fits in!

edit - beaten to it by Ian!

The official list will be formulated as of the new year, as stated at the start of the post.

Requests for rooms will be ignored

Its new getting the food voucher.,

4 laps is the best purchase, and apparently you can now hire a video camera this year.

That was a no no last year.
All we want now is the dates to be deffo confirmed, but I cant see it being any different from the last 3 years or more.
