did the centre console and drivers/passengers air vents with a matt carbon fiber look vynil wrap. 1st time using the stuff so I tried a few small bits. will attempt the speedo cluster surround tomorrow.
seemed to have done ok so I will tackle the roof with a gloss carbon fiber vynil in a few months:- ![]() |

got the wrap here:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3207137294...84.m1423.l2649 and here's a gloss one that I will probably use for my roof:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1306496673...84.m1423.l2649 and this is the tutorial I watched. you dont need the plastic tools they used in the video for a small piece like I was working on, but for bigger pieces I guess you would. To avoid scratching the vynil, I would suggest you get one of the plastic squeegie things with some kitchen roll over the edge like you would for window tinting:- http://www.carbonfibredesign.com/#!tutorials |

nah. if you get a bit that looks like it's gonna crease, you just lift that section, put the heat gun on it and re-apply. it's all in the video I linked to above.
I got a bit off ebay 1000x500mm for £11.99. that and a heatgun and patience is all you need. if it all goes completely wrong, you just peel it off. it does no damage to the part you are applying the vynil too so worst case is you waste £11.99 |
